Theatre for All…women of course.

If you had a chance to look at the “Another Place” trailer posted right here, you saw a woman play my sister/boss named Jessica Dollard. We were high school drama geeks, sharpening our chops on theatre projects like Fiddler On the Roof and more.

As time has gone on, we’ve all done our thing out in the world, yet Jessica has managed to create a truly unique not-for-profit theatre group which is taking Calgary by storm. Which is why the Calgary Herald featured her story and merger with another theatre group in today’s edition.

While we focus so much of our attention on web video, all of us are deeply rooted in theatre and in all reality probably wouldn’t be what we are doing today if it wasn’t for the thrill of live performance.

So congrats to our friend Jessica and be sure to check out what’s happening at Urban Curvz:

FuddyTV in the April Avenue Magazine

Avenue Magazine Calgary

READ THE LITTLE BLURB HERE!

So far we have been excessively lucky to get the publicity we have, on BT, CNN, and News Knight with Sir Trevor MacDonald. I can’t believe it but out of the two outlets we’ve contacted we’ve been accepted by two, so with that in the April issue of Avenue Magazine in Calgary we’ll have a small little blurb about FuddyTV!

Dave did the telephone interview and he’ll make us proud no doubt. We’ll have our mugs in the magazine as well, using the picture we use on the About Fuddy page. It is this type of exposure which we are so thankful for and so happy to get…it will only help us grow and achieve our ultimate goal of making full length feature films under our own production company.

And we’ll hire all of you if we get it.

So check out the April issue of Avenue Magazine and check out the little blurb!

Cheers,

FuddyTV at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo!

We got a booth!

Calgary Comic Entertainment Expo

April 26th and 27th, 2008 we’ll be at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo grinding up some support for FuddyTV and hawking some stuff to sell and so on. This was originally Erik’s idea, thinking it would garner some good exposure and get us some experience in the world of conventions and selling FuddyTV, but I wasn’t sure if we’d actually be able to do it. Well we did! Now we have to find some things that will get attendees attention and make our mark on the show…My first thought —> Dress up as Boris. Why the heck not!? Years ago my shyness went out the door so this would be a great opportunity to show the world all we can do at FuddyTV.

We just have to learn how to do it.

I’ve never been a part of any convention except for the one time I modeled for Schick Razors as a fireman in pink suspenders, but other than that I’ve never been to one, nor would I know how to run one. Perhaps that is a good thing however, we can go to the convention with a clear mind and a fresh idea. While there will be others at the convention who have been to many, if not all, we’ll go in there boots strapped on, ready for anything that comes at us.

I was looking the the Calgary Comicon website and there is quite the lineup of people who will be attending. I believe my favorite will be George Takei…what convention is complete without a Star Trek character? I thought so…

We’ll have more updates as soon as they come rolling in, but in the meantime be sure to check out the Calgary Comicon and come see us at our booth!
