A New Channel on FuddyTV

If you haven’t noticed already, we added a new channel on FuddyTV called “Outside FuddyTV”. Here we’ll start putting videos, movies, TV shows, commercials that David, Erik and I have done outside the confines of FuddyTV. Soon you’ll see a computer generated robot Dave walking along side Will Smith in I Robot and myself having some problems in a snow plow with Rachel Wilson in Mystery, Alaska.

We’ll also be adding some films/shorts that Erik has produced and directed.

More exciting is the fact we’re going to put up “Candyman”, a video Dave and I made when we the tender age of 16. If we REALLY want to see the beginnings of FuddyTV, that video was it.

Keep checking back! Videos will be live soon!

Cheers,
Ryan for FuddyTV

An Internet Explorer Issue…[FIXED]

For those of your using Internet Explorer to look at FuddyTV, we’re aware of this:

Internet Explorer cannot open site operation aborted

Meanwhile USE FIREFOX and you won’t have any problems!

We’re trying to find out which code is making it not work…Stay Tuned….

[THE FIX]
Apprently what was causing the crash on Internet Explorer was the “object” tag in the embedded YouTube video in the header. The code was manipulated slightly and now it works like a charm.

However, while I was putzing around the site I came across a plethora of ridiculous Internet Explorer caused errors, which have also been fixed.
Again, I cannot emphasize any more….get FIREFOX! Your computer will love you.

Welcome back IE Users,

My God it’s Full of Color

THIS is the FuddyTV.com I wanted. Indeed after 100 or so hours of working dilligently and constantly on every single intricate part of FuddyTV the redesign is complete. What started looking like a World War II bunker interior, now is full of color, full of life and isn’t riddled with bugs like the previous version.

Notable additions are:

1. A quick twitter integration. Where we hope all of you will join in our twitter arena.
2. FuddyTV Flickr integration with a photogallery.
3. ….more.

There were many things wrong with the older version. Here is a list of fixes:

1. You can now see your entire message history, both received and sent.
2. Certain pages don’t have incorrect backgrounds or whited out text.
3. Related videos and random videos on each video page now work.
4. When you invite people to FuddyTV, the correct email is sent out to the person you invited.
5. The search function works incredibly better.
6. Profile “views” are gone, instead replaced by “videos watched”.
7. A Photogallery page has been added.
8. The “groups” feature has been RIP’d.
9. An advertise on FuddyTV page has been added.
10. It is colorful.
11. Things have been re-shaped and moved around.
12. Video players now have one standard color and design.
13. It just seems to work better now!

Cheers!

FuddyTV is Getting a Massive ReDesign

It has begun.

Today we started a re-design of Fuddy that will take some time but be much nicer in the long run. There are a few lagging issues with the current design, things that I just didn’t have enough time to clean up or alter. This new redesign started yesterday and while the essentials of the site won’t change that much, they will be extremely noticeable.

The current design is not my favorite. It was a quick change and frankly not my best. It was really just a color change and nothing else. The new version will feature a lot of shuffling. I’m moving things around, adding some features and updating the design to truly, TRULY be representative of FuddyTV. I made a comment to Dave the other day that there were times when I thought the site looked like the inside of a World War II bunker and the strip along the top was the outside world. A little depressing if you ask me. The new design will still feature a “darkish” design, but the color elements will be very noticeable and really nice. I think Fuddy needs some color.

Here’s a hint…
FuddyTV.com Redesign Preview

Generally everything will stay the same in terms of videos, channels and the like, but a fancy new design with color and a few more added features will definitely complete, or at least come close to completing our vision for the website. For now any way…who knows what might happen down the road :)

Cheers,

FuddyTV in the April Avenue Magazine

Avenue Magazine Calgary

READ THE LITTLE BLURB HERE!

So far we have been excessively lucky to get the publicity we have, on BT, CNN, and News Knight with Sir Trevor MacDonald. I can’t believe it but out of the two outlets we’ve contacted we’ve been accepted by two, so with that in the April issue of Avenue Magazine in Calgary we’ll have a small little blurb about FuddyTV!

Dave did the telephone interview and he’ll make us proud no doubt. We’ll have our mugs in the magazine as well, using the picture we use on the About Fuddy page. It is this type of exposure which we are so thankful for and so happy to get…it will only help us grow and achieve our ultimate goal of making full length feature films under our own production company.

And we’ll hire all of you if we get it.

So check out the April issue of Avenue Magazine and check out the little blurb!

Cheers,
