FuddyTV is off to Belgium!

We’ve been pretty lucky at FuddyTV to have the successes that we’ve had, Chuck Storm, CNN, The Daily Show, NBC’s Most Outrageous Moments and The Maury Povich Show…but this one has to top them all:

As you read this, Dave, Erik and I are probably in the air on our way to Belgium to do a commercial on the web for Toyota!

Grand Place Brussels Belgium FuddyTV

The wonderful people at Happiness-Brussels, Toyota’s agency in Belgium, saw Car Dance Party Moscow on YouTube and contacted us through our website wondering if we could do Car Dance Party Belgium! This truly is an amazing chance and a wonderful opportunity for all of us at FuddyTV.com, not only to work with the good people we’ll be working with, but also the chance for Dave, Erik and I to experience a beautiful part of the world we probably never would have.

There was absolutely no hesitation on our part on whether to do this or not. First and foremost, Happiness-Brussels really looks to be on the edge of marketing and creativity when it comes to advertising. Second we want FuddyTV to grow into what we’ve always had planned which is to be a full-fledged production company that will make our own films and/or TV productions. Third, we get something that perhaps so few people will get to experience and that is a journey of three friends to an amazingly wonderful place…

On the Blog, the site, and Facebook, we’ll be updating our trip as it goes and sharing pictures, video and stories about our day to day goings on. So stick close to FuddyTV.com and when we get over our jet lag we’ll keep you up to date on what we did, what we’ve seen and how everything has been going.

When I first got the email and then the phone call, I was shocked…I don’t think you ever plan for something like that to come out of the blue like that. The whole thing has only come together in the past two weeks, so the fact that we went from an email to our flight tomorrow is incredible. I’ll never forget calling Dave and saying..”So…how would like to go to Belgium and do Car Dance Party for Toyota?”

Of course, I can’t say that we would be in this situation if it wasn’t for the support that all of our members, family and friends have given us along the way. It is the encouragement, love and help that you’ve all given that make this site what it is and where we are going!

Until we land!

FuddyTV Posters…

I came up with some posters to sell when we are at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo. Personally I like the Dance Party Poster, but the Chuck Storm poster gives it a run for its money!

Here they are!

A Scary Moment for FuddyTV…

I sat around last night looking over the computer and wondering what to do with the extra partition on the hard drive I have. I had broken the hard drive into two partitions C:\ and D:\. Primarily I used the D:\ drive to do everything. Neither had much storage…only 80GB total, but I had an external hard drive which in the end saved my butt.

So as I sat there wondering what to do, I thought I would use Norton’s Partition Magic to change some settings, erase the drive I wasn’t using and allocate that space back to the main disk I was using. It all seemed to be going fine and dandy, 25GB of space was going to move to the active drive and all would be well.

Apparently not.

Norton Partition Magic requested I reboot to make all the settings finished. I did…and my CPU never recovered again. Windows wouldn’t boot, wouldn’t even show that I had a hard drive…that was when panic, and I mean ultimate panic, set in. I kept going through my mind, thinking of all the files, data, programs I would lose forever. I cursed Norton Partition Magic and believe me when I say:

DO NOT EVER USE NORTON PARTITION MAGIC!

After spending hour after hour trying to come up with a solution there was nothing left to do. I had exhausted everything. When I woke up this morning, I was calm, but realized that my computing experience would never be the same. I tried a few more solutions, but none would work and my final straw came shortly after I woke up. The computers power supply just crapped out. It had been started and re-started so many times that it was exhausted…and so was I.

So here I am, right at this moment, transferring all of my files from the old hard disk to my brand spankin’ new HP computer. It’s got Vista, and frankly I don’t know if I like that, but I have been pretty successful in having everything transfer and go very smoothly. Thankfully, the external hard drive held all of our videos and website code so it was never in jeopardy…thank god.

Angry LOLcat

Again, the moral of the story is…DON’T USE NORTON PARTITION MAGIC - EVEN BETTER, DON’T USE ANYTHING NORTON!

Ryan plays Guitar Hero…

For my birthday, which is April 9th by the way :), Andrea bought me what may perhaps be one of the greatest gift a man could ever receive….Not only was it thoughtful, selfless and expensive, it was AWESOME. Yes, she bought me an XBOX 360. Why is this so astonishing? Because any gaming console is the enemy to women. Where a couple might be sitting and enjoying a movie at home or a nice dinner, the XBOX 360 immediately takes those moments away from a women when it lures away her man into the abyss of gaming.

What is worse? Guitar Hero III was purchased along with it…Now I’ve only played Guitar Hero III for a couple weeks here, but this video may be an indication of HOW MUCH I’ve been playing…

So clearly the sacrifice that Andrea has taken by buying the XBOX 360 for my birthday is, well, heroic and I can’t thank her enough! (I promise I’ll be around for dinner…just five more minutes…).
