New Video Player & Randy Morton Sample!

FuddyTV New Video Random

Thanks to the fantastic service that Blip.tv offers, we finally feel as though the video player is up to par for what we want to do. The videos load fast, they look great, and there’s some features listed underneath the player that enable you to search through episodes, embed on your website, share with a friend and read a synopsis for each vid. It’s a perfect player!

Dave has been furiously writing two new Chuck Storm episodes. Which we will probably shoot early next week. Oh Chuck Storm….such a good news reporter. Basically that’s what Dave does, as Erik so perfectly put in “The Great Debate Short Movie Film” credits, use his “crazy ass imagination” to write smart, funny and off-the-wall sketches. Sometimes we shoot something or I get a script and I look to the sky and think where the hell does he come up with these things? Thank god he’s that way, or else it would be a whole lot of Randy Morton if I was writing….

Speaking of Randy Morton….here’s a little sample of what Randy’s been doing in the studio….

The Great Debate Short Movie Film is Live!

The Great Debaters Movie Film

Finally after a long day of shooting and editing “The Great Debate Short Movie Film” is uploaded and ready to watch!

This was the most hectic, gorilla shoot that we have done, we were literally running from one location to another and racking our brains as to the whereabouts of the beer in the story.

“Dammit! We forgot to pick up the beer in the last shot!” But we made it work with a little bit of creative backtracking. We had so much fun shooting this movie that we lost complete track of continuity, but managed to make it work.

I gotta run…here comes the ice cream truck…

FuddyTV.com is getting a Guide.

Randy Morton FuddyTV Guide

In keeping with the whole, you know, video thing we have going at FuddyTV.com in the next month or so we’re introducing perhaps one of the greatest crooners to have never released an album….Randy Morton. As a 70’s Vegas act he blazed the trail for no one, but was successful in building a fan base of 60 year old women who enjoy his buttery voice and rich hair. As time has passed he has lost many of his fans, and his Vegas act is long over, but we found him crooning in a local restaurant in Primm and hired him to be Fuddy’s, well, spokesperson you could say. He’ll guide you through the site in his own special, off the cuff way.

Look for Randy soon and his introduction will be very exciting.

The Anatomy of a Roommate Shoot

About a week ago we shot episode 2 of “The Roommate” at a local gym/recreation center. What’s it about? Well, Racquetball of course. The way we end each episode is how we start the next, so naturally when John slaps Mike across the face, yet still wonders if they are playing racquetball, indeed they are. The episode is brilliantly written by Dave and I feel immensely sorry for Eric that he has to make sense of everything we shot. It’s fast paced, loud, and the perfect follow-up to the first one.

I for one was sweating like Dom Deluise out there. (Knocked Up reference). Perhaps I’m a little outta shape, perhaps I was a little too into my “stunts” but two skinned knees and a really sore hip later the episode should be available soon.

We get to the “Southland Leisure Center” as it is so called, pay our admission and get into the racquetball courts which are thankfully empty at the time. As we start shooting, we start to hear children playing in a room just down the hall. Of course when you are surrounded by nothing but walls that echo and echo and echo and echo and echo….this poses a bit of a challenge. What’s worse is thee fact that my character John gets, oh, a little angry in the scene and I can only imagine the children and instructor must have wondered what on earth is happening in that court because some guy is getting angry the SAME WAY over and over.

The shoot goes well, no real problems, but good laughs as per usual. So we’re done! We think, “Hey! Let’s go for a swim!” Great idea, I say, and we walk into the locker room, put our fancy trunks on, pre-shower and walk out to the “Wave Pool” where we spent so much of our childhood. Bam! We are met, literally three steps into the area, not the water no no, by a female lifeguard who is clearly on a mission. She says, “You can’t be here” and we say…”Uhhhhh…why not?”

She responds, “It’s 17 and under only”.
“Uhhhhh….Oh.” We reply. “I didn’t see a sign?”
“It’s right out front as you walk in.”

Awkwardly we leave. Feeling as though the world is watching us, embarrassment strewn all over our faces. Of course it is then, much later, when you think…”Oh I should have said that! Why didn’t I say that!?” But you don’t and you feel two feet tall.

Oh and the sign, yeaaaaaahhhh, it was about as big as a small car.

Check bag for the second installment of “The Roommate” soon!
